I’m exited to read them all! I’ve already read The Power of Six, since I borrowed it from the library right after it came out. I still bought it to add to my collection (next to I’m Number Four and the upcoming Lorien Legacies books) and also I wouldn’t mind re-reading it in the future. I’m saving Beach Blondes and We’ll Always Have Summer to when I’ll go traveling. They’re both such a beach read – perfect for summer!

Wonder what is in trend for the summer? Bustier tops with exposed bellies are one of the #1 trends you should know about this up-coming season. Bustier tops are seen everywhere – especially on the red carpet and in designer’s Spring/Summer collection. This trend is daring, fun and will definitely make some head-turnings this summer.

How to pull off this trend:

The celebrities are wild to show off their abs and nice curves with these tops, and really it’s all about balance. Bustier tops with exposed bellies works best with a cute skirt (both maxi and mini) covering your tummy button yet still exposing a bit of skin. Not too much and not too little. Keep it elegant and simple yet be daring.

In the summer exposing belly with bustier tops are of course easier when you’re at the beach or it’s furnace hot outside. Aka  good excuse to try this out. High waisted shorts are also a great option to wear. Pair it with feather earrings and long necklaces, to achieve a stylish bohemian look.

ASOS.com and Forever21 has a great selection of all kinds of bustier tops. You can select whether you prefer floral, lace or plain. Try to look for a piece you know will go with most of your skirt or shorts.

I have HUGE updates and news for you!You’ve probably noticed the new layout, eh? The past months I’ve been super busy with school since my exams are right around the corner. Besides that I’ve spent LOTS of time layouting, organizing and designing blog, fanpage etc. Lately I’ve realized how old school I really am. I’m so bad at keeping up with new inventions and popular trends that every blogger should know about. Aka Instagram – why hasn’t anyone told me about Instagram before?!

Anyway, I had a lot of trouble with the blog layout. Glad my brother could help me out. Little details you’re not quite satisfied with makes you not want to post something at all. I’m still not done with the layout. I’ve a lot of things I want to change, but those are all small things. The main part of it is mostly done by now. So GOODBYE old boring layout and hello to the new one!

Besides updating my blog, I also switched JulianaChow.com’s facebook page into the new Timeline. I’ll be posting quotes, instagram pictures and post updates on there so you can basically follow my every move….

I had a great Christmas together with my family. It was so good to finally have some time to relax a bit. In some way I think this month has flown by really quick, but then again, I glad this whole holiday season is over with all those presents, decorations and Christmas songs that was starting to getting on my nerves. So now that Christmas is over I’m starting to think about the new upcoming year. A new year, a new start.

Long time no see… I’ve missed blogging so damn much! It’s crazy how much has happened since the summer; especially how fast it has all gone. Can you believe it’s already Fall? Kinda wish I could turn the time back to July right now. It’s getting extremely cold outside!

I found out I haven’t been writing anything about music at all on my blog. What a shame. So this is officially my first music-post ever. I want to write about this amazing Korean pop group, I’ve been a fan of for quite a while now. Ever since they’ve started I was blown away by their fashion style and, of course, their music.

This video below is my favorite of all of the new songs, so far. The music video is great itself, as well as a live reggae version, but I like this live version much better. Check it out!

From the music video of Lonely, the girls wore Balmain, who’s mostly know for their Micheal Jackson jackets and bandage dresses.

Also below is 2NE1′s new music video, released last Wednesday. It’s all like watching a cartoon. The video is adorable as well as the music. It already got over 3 million views on Youtube.

So, the new 2NE1 album will be released July 29th – that means only five days to go. By then the last music video called UGLY, will have been released already.

Here’s a photo of the upcoming Ugly – music video. The photos were revealed earlier this week as a preview. The style is different from the fashion styles we’ve seen earlier, but definitely interesting. All there’s left to say is,

Greetings from Ascona! It took me way longer to upload a post than I expected because of the sometime very slow WiFi in some hotels, but mostly because I haven’t had time since I mainly have traveled around whole Europe. By now I’ve been to Germany, Austria, Slovenia, several places in Italy and now Switzerland. Heading home through Germany again in a couple of days.

The weather is great here – actually haven’t been bad at all, compared to home in Denmark where there has been a huge storm (the worst in over 30 years). You can google and see the streets all covered in water. Guess the weather changes is getting over us little by little.

But after all the trip has been really cozy and relaxing, spending some time with my family. Wish I could stay here longer. But on the other hand when I get home I get to celebrate my birthday July 10th – so looking forward to that.

Skipping though time, for my experience, the feather accessories really came back  a few years back. For me, Sex and the City really brought back the feather trend in a stylish, many a little dramatic but modern way. Since then, we’ve start seeing more and more earrings and headbands but especially this summer – I feel like it’s getting really popular.

Today you can find feather accessories everywhere. As you see on the right photo, I bought a feather necklace myself, which is super wearable and still unique. It’s from H&M’s summer accessories collection together with other interesting jewelries. I think I payed around 60-70 DKK for my necklace – but I’m sure you can find it much cheaper on markets for example. Also notice my tribal top from Forever21 my aunt had home to me from New York. Love the top so much, because it’s very wearable and matches especially good with this feather necklace.

But I hope you got some information out of this. Look forward to one of the next, I’ll be posting from somewhere in Europe, outside Denmark. Feel super exited! Also is going to start packing soon – eeekk.  Promise to have some outfit posts up i’ll be shooting on the trip. Bye!

This is probably a stupid post but I wanted to upload just something. You see, it has been a whole week since I’ve posted anything at all. So yup, here what has been going on in by life lately if you’re interested..

Last week has been full of exams and tests – which is boring and sad but also at the same time relaxing, since school will be over soon. But I did go on a little trip with my class to see cows and organic pigs for a report (I’ve already complained about on twitter..). But well, I got some funny photos taken – take a look!

First we went to a farm that produced milk. I guess these cows are called jerseys. So we discussed the conditions for the cows if they lived organically or not.

Photos with me and animals. The dog was super cute compared to the *evil looking* cow who is (if you’ve noticed) licking my purse! I really tried to get a good shot with me touching its head – but I guess cows just licks on everything that comes near them.

Okay, done. No more cow talk. Moving forward to quick photos from today!

Took a trip with my mom and grandma to Hillerød, where we also saw Frederiksborg Castle. A very beautiful Danish castle, build in 1560. Very common to Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, that you know from Shakespeare’s The Tragical History of Hamlet.

After that I had to check out the local New Yorker store. I’m not really that impressed by the store, compared to the one in the center of Copenhagen, but I got a couple of things.

Last but not least, bought this cute skirt from New Yorker. It’s a ruffled skirt with lace-detailing at the bottom and a sewed-on belt and bow at the top.

All in all I adore it, but is kind of lost with what to pair this with. Any ideas? Let me know.

The tribal trend belongs to the category of Exotic Prints, in my All About Spring Fashion 2011 post. So since that post is from January – yes, I proudly see myself as pretty forward-fashion-seeing and trend-setting. Ha ha!

The tribal trend itself means by mixing strong graphic prints, (generally remarkable prints) together with warm earth colors (orange, brown and so on) and natural accents.

I’ve also spotted many tribal accessories out there – especially pearl bracelets that would be great to combine with gold, leather and feather accessories.

How it can be worn!

Tribal trend also fits good into the safari look, which means it can be worn with all the accents from the safari category; beige jackets, unusual hats and brown leather belts. But, but but.. What I love about this trend is that it can also be turned into sort of a hippie/bohemian style. Since I really feel like the bohemian style is coming back, I prefer the last option. But of course, my opinion is also that this trend can we worn both with anything and by anyone.

Where to get it!

Aldo, is a great place to find tribal and exotic looking shoes. Aldo shoes are not expensive, though not cheap either – but they’re always in with the new trends for the seasons. I get to inspired whenever I’m in one of those stores – that’s what I like about Aldo. You can find more Aldo tribal shoes, bags and accessories here.

Forever21 also has a lot of tribal items all from clothing to hair accessories. I’m sure you can find  some great deals there also since they’ve a summer sale going on at the moment.
